Edward Leo Peter "Ed" McMahon, Jr. (March 6, 1923 – June 23, 2009)

Most famous for his work on television as Johnny Carson's announcer on The Tonight Show from 1962 to 1992, he also hosted Star Search and a variety of other shows.
McMahon died at age 86 on June 23, 2009, at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. No formal cause of death was given, but McMahon's publicist attributed his death to the many health problems he suffered over his final months, including a neck injury suffered a few years ago.

Until next time, when we can chit-chat again!
