Sept Flick Picks 2009

Time traveler's wife is a tale of a man who travels through time to a love he's always know. A must see, but make sure you are bright eyed and bushy tailed when you see this one so that you can follow along the twisted tale.

In typical Tyler Perry fashion, he does it again in Tyler Perry's: I can do bad all by myself. Madea pops up but that's not the main tale. This is the story of a young woman who's running away from who she is, and toward a place she doesn't care about. When her sisters children and a stranger help her to realize the things she never realized she wanted..

Love Happens is a tale of a man who helps others to mask his own inaccuracies in life. In the process of finding his truth, he finds love and his life.

All about Steve is a not so romantic comedy about a young woman who's on the outside looking in. When she finds the man of her dreams she moves heaven and earth to "hang" with him. Of course, in the end she realizes you just have to be yourself.

The Informant is the story of a man who's caught in his own web of truth, or is that lies, no, no I'm sure it's truth...that's the problem the story gets bogged down with tech talk. Wait until your in top form or you may get lost in the story. Matt Damon's delivers a stellar performance.

Inglourious Basterds is Quentin Tarantino's latest. This film is violent, vicious & ruthless. The scenes are long and arduous (lots of subtitles). You'll walk away impressed &/or bemused.

Until next time, when we can chit-chat again!
