February Flick Pick '09

MEDIA GOES TO JAIL:

Tyler Perry does it again. He has taken one of his stage plays and passed it on to the big screen. The trailer does not tell the full story, but then again what film trailer does. It's a nice balance of comedy and a serious message. This one is worth the cost of a movie ticket.

{MILK}

This is much more than a story about a gay man, his relationships and his aspirations. It's a wonderfully done film that is well executed. Sean Penn is well deserving of the Oscar for his portrayal of Harvey Milk.

{THE READER}

This story is interesting but not my favorite of the films that were nominated. That said, Kate Winslet is well deserving of her portrayal in this film. Her secrete was so important to her that she chose a non-deserving path.

HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU is a film that a lot of my friends loved this movie...I have to be honest I liked the book more. However, if you have nothing better to do with your Saturday afternoon...then head to the movies.

CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC is a funny chick flick.

NEW IN TOWN - I liked this movie. Another light hearted film that left me with that warm fuzzy feeling.
