Pink Ribbon

Men and women, with a first-degree family member (Mom, Dad, Sister, etc.), should get checked 10 years before the age their family member was diagnosed with cancer.  Otherwise, the recommended age for women is 40.  You don't need a prescription to get a mammogram, but you may have to pay for it out of pocket.

One of the most well known organizations is the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  Click the link to find out more about this organizations mission.  You can also check out American Cancer Society for more information and resources.

Until next time, when we can chit-chat again!
