Too many texts!

A California man's texting kid racked up 14K+ text messages in one month.  Had he not had a $30 "all you can text" plan, he would have racked up in excess of $2K.  

I think back to when I was a kid.  I didn't have a cell phone.   My folks did invest in call waiting because my best friend and I spent hours on the phone after school catching up on the days events.  The truth is my folks had the foggiest idea about what I was up to.  I wonder if "my 12 year old" is busy texting and chatting on the cell, how do I really know what "they" are up to? How much time are they spending with the family?  You know me, the mind does wonder off to these things!
