Dyslexia

The p, the d, the b makes no sense to me. Is it a 6 or a 9? BTW, why did they pick the word Dyslexia to describe this disorder? Don't people who have Dyslexia have a hard enough time as it is without complicating things with a word that we can hardly recognize? I mean really!
